First as Contributing Art Director and then as Art Director for this tween-focused, bimonthly publication, I was responsible for choosing palettes and themes, as well as laying out the entire 48-page magazine, cover-to-cover. Each issue included hundreds of photographs and stock images, as well as original illustrations. In addition to the magazine’s art direction and layout, I also pitched in with copyediting and proofing assistance, as well as occasionally contributing editorial content. Each issue featured a young Disney star on the cover and as a feature story, and I worked with their stylists and photographers to choose photos and retouch and mask the images.
